style stalk: kate lanphear

does the name ring a bell? i don't know about you but i'm seriously in love with her. this drop dead gorgeous woman sporting chopped hair with slouchy and grungy looks is none other than Elle USA's style director. i've got a bunch of photos stacked in separate folders of people i religiously style stalk (e.g: Miley Cyrus, MK-O, Vanessa Hudgens) and she's obviously one of them. its june 1st and i think it is but fitting to start the first day of the month with tons of inspiration, right?
i'd be very talkative today if i wanted to, started my day really early to do something important (life-changing) and now i'm sitting in a coffee shop people watching, making this post and doing and Arrow marathon. YES, kill time. i should go now before i bore you (more).

comfort is usually my priority when it comes to dressing up. i believe that a woman looks good in her outfit when she's comfortable on what she's wearing. 

wore a very simple coachella-inspired outfit (i hope its not too late for that) to a movie date with my sister. lately i've been so inclined to wearing huge bags when going out. i carry a lot of stuff with me these days and its important that they all fit in one bag.

my wonderwall

this woman had me when she was very young and i am so amazed of how she stood strong and independent despite getting married and having a child at a very young age. she taught me everything i needed to know. she's a really tough woman. she has put up a lot with me which i am very thankful. i am who i am now because of her. she's inspired me to be better even do the things her way. i may sometimes doubt what she says but at the end of the day, mothers always know what 's best for her children, proven and tested a million times. you've said a lot of empty threats at me when you disapprove of what i do and that's because you love me. she's my best critic. my confidante. my bestfriend (or frie-n-emy). my wonderwall. MY MOTHER. i love you beyond words and more than you can imagine. i may disagree with you most of the time but know always that you are understood and i take your words by heart. mom, you may not be reading this now but i'm gonna make you proud and i'll try to give back all the love you've shown me.

midnight craving

denim flare jeans, denim vest, some decent vintage-looking sunnies, thick brows (i wish i had them), white dress in a lightweight clothing fabric (something like a chambray but in white), maxi dress (preferably in solid colors), maxi cardigan and cropped top (with chopped hair too?)  all these sounds so good right now. 

couldn't sleep so thought of using this to good use instead of just pointing out that i'm in my nocturnal state. put together all my fashion midnight cravings in a collage that might be of help to anyone who's mind also says she wanna sleep but her body clock is saying otherwise.

inspiration: summer 2013

had this post on hold, waiting for the perfect time to share them with you. i just feel too inspired for the warmer days to come; though its mostly warm here in the phil's. well given the fact that we only have two seasons here haha. these days its been 31 degrees or so here and i guess summer is really here. its time to keep our sweaters at the bottom of our closets and time to bring out the cropped denims, cut-out tees, laces, tote bags and our sunnies. its about time we get some tan and feel the sand on our toes.
