flapper fashion

last night was very boring like the rest of the other nights this week, we spent talking endlessly about anything under the sun, may it be about politics, religion, love, studies, life, world history and of course fashion! we talked about how fashion was like during the 20's and why most fashionable girls loved fashion during this era.
well let me show you pictures and let them do the talking first. . .

in the 1920's, i believed that it has a great influence on whatever fashion the present time has to offer to us. i mean, it has evolved but if you really come to think of it, it actually started during the 20's. they said that during this era, women started to be bold and liberated when it comes to clothing that they were also termed as the period of flapper fashion - which simply meant that women showed a bold attitude in terms of fashion and clothing that gave them a strong and vivid identity.

it is during this year that women started to wear loose-fitting clothes, knee-length skirts, bold make-up, high heels, trousers and coats; they even cut their hair short. meaning, women before does not only wear feminine clothes they also appear boyish.
and let us not forget that coco chanel became famous during this time.

so what about you? what do you think about the fashion during the 20's? or if you were given a chance to go back in time, at what year would you want to go back to?
